If your installing stock sissy bars and side straps. You will need the following tools: 3/16 " hex wrench and 5/32" hex wrench. Oh! get a 1/2" combination wrench. 1. Remove two button head socket screws and locknuts that hold fender support to fender. Your sissy bar should supply the new screws but save the locknuts. When installing the new screws make sure the steel T-spacers inside of fender are still in rubber grommets before tightening. 2. Position the side strap on fender support and insert supplied buttonhead screws through side strap and fendersupport. Use the OEM locknuts removed in step 1 on screws and tighten to 8-13 ft.-lbs. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other side. 4. Install the sissy bar to the side straps and tighten with the four buttonhead screws supplied with kit. That sums it up... Jaime G.
