I just now had the same problem where it seemed hopelessly jammed, but by pulling each part of the 2 strings that make up the cord individually I was able to get each side of it to dip down slightly. After they both had let down a bit, it was unjammed and working as usual.
Both, lower the blinds and draw the curtains
There is usually a cord, similar to that on venetian blinds, that allows you to raise and lower the blinds.
Check the rope that operates the blinds at the top. There is probably a problem with the rope or ways that is causing the problem.
To properly install and adjust inside mount vertical blinds, first measure the window frame to ensure a proper fit. Then, install the mounting brackets at the top of the frame and attach the headrail of the blinds. To hang blinds properly, first measure the window frame to ensure the blinds will fit. Then, install the brackets at the top of the frame and attach the blinds to the brackets. Make sure the blinds are level and secure before adjusting the length and testing the functionality.
Window Blinds are quite simple to install. Typically blinds have two components that need to be installed on the top sides of the window frame. Then in the middle of the top part of the frame, is an additional component to be attached, that will offer support in holding the blinds up. All of the components will screw in directly to the window frame, and just need to be placed on a level line. The Blinds will have a top piece that will fit into the installed components, and mechanisms to secure it all.
