Go to http://www.dsultimate.net/Board/upload/showthread.php?t=8784 and find Replacement Defaults in big size. I think it's for v1.0. It doesn't work on v1.1, tough.
Yet better, go to http://helmet.kafuka.org/nikoboard/thread.php?id=263 and download and use SM64DS Editor. This level editor works with v1.0, v1.1 and European ROMs as well.
