In the British army you ask for a course which is 9-8 weeks long depending where you do it. 1 week of lectures ( history ) tailoring your rifle and your Gillie suit fitness, 2nd week short 0-300 to mid 300-600 range shooting and test 3rd week long shoot and test 600-1100 4-8 week is exercises and skills training , camouflage and concealment, stalking , judging distance , map reading , navigation exercises and observation week 9 is test week on all 6 sniper skills including a written test.

Playing as a sniper has many different variations. What you're going for here is distance, and through my experience, that involves a clip system weapon with the barrel OFF (as it slows down the dart) I recommend the Longshot, since if you're on level ground you can use its bipod for great support. I do not recommend using an attachment, since it will block the tactical rails on top which are great to aim with.

As a side weapon, I choose the Recon in its basic pistol form. It's light, small, and uses the same darts as the Longshot, so you don't need to worry about specific darts.
