I am not sure what you mean about make polymer clay with cornstarch. Polymer clay is a clay already made. You can use cornstarch to avoid other objects like stamps from sticking to the clay when you make prints on clay. You just brush it on with a soft brush. It does not harm the clay, and after curing you can simply rinse it off with water.
U can use flour and glue
Yes, you can use flour instead of cornstarch for making clay, but the texture and properties will differ. Flour-based clay may be softer and less pliable than cornstarch clay, and it might not dry as hard. To achieve a similar consistency, you may need to adjust the water and other ingredients in your recipe. Overall, while it's possible, the results may vary.
You can use baby powder, flour, baking soda or cornstarch to prevent the clay from sticking to your hands. To make it hard, you may want to put it on the fridge but put it on a container so it's not gonna make your food "poisonus" i guess :D
does chewing cornstarch increase weight if not swallowed

To make a simple homemade eraser without eraser clay, you can use a piece of rubber or an old rubber glove. Cut a small piece and shape it into a rectangular form. Alternatively, you can mix equal parts of cornstarch and white glue, shape it into a small block, and let it dry completely before using it as an eraser.
Yes but it will make it thicker
