It takes time but you can use a Q-tip. twirl the Q-tip inside the flower of the plant to gather pollen. Go to the other plant and twirl the same Q-tip in a different flower and keep doing this back and forth between plants and different flowers each time. When I do this with my apple trees I pull a petal off the flowers already done so I can keep track of those done and those still needing pollination.

How do you cross pollinate geraniums?

To cross pollinate geraniums, you can transfer pollen from one geranium flower to the pistil (female reproductive organ) of another flower using a small brush or cotton swab. Gently dab the pollen onto the pistil, and then repeat the process with other flowers to increase the chances of successful pollination. Be sure to label the flowers that were cross pollinated to keep track of the parentage.

How do you breed a purple carrot?

To breed purple carrots, you can cross-pollinate two varieties of carrots with purple pigment traits in their genetics. Select the best parent plants for their purple color, and make sure to isolate them from different carrot varieties to avoid accidental cross-pollination. By carefully managing the breeding process over several generations, you can increase the likelihood of producing purple carrots.
