If the gas wont go in, try running it in very slowly. If it will go in slow, then the tank vent system has a problem. Check the vent tube and canister for a possible clog.
Fuel pump is in tank probably have to drop the tank out of car to replace.
when you put the tank back into place check the angle of the filler hose

It is possible that the fuel pump has gone bad. This can happen if a car runs completely out of gas, never go below 1/4 a tank.
take the gas tank out of the car and go from there, the pump is in the tank.
The fuel pump is in the gas tank. You have empty the gas tank, disconnect the hoses and holdup straps and then lower the tank. The fuel pump/gas gauge module are screwed into the top of the tank. Go to the library and take out the repair manual.

remove gas tank skid plate, gas tank straps lower tank and it bolts ontop of the gas tank and drops down in go to autozone .com and they have a diagram of the parts in the parts search
you have to go in and drop the gas tank... it is on the top
try punching out the metal plate. it might have become vapor locked
