You get a kissmark if someone sucks on you soft tissues for more the a few seconds. The sucking causes underpressure around the tissue - and so it causes underpressure in the small bloodvessels that run through this tissue. The bloodpressure in those bloodvessels and the undrepressure from the sucking add up to a pressuredifference too high for the bloodvessels. The bloodvessels burst and a small amount of blood leaks out in the tissue. The bleeding soon stops due to natural blood clotting. But there is already a small amount of blood in the tissues surrounding the disrupted bloodvessels. Hence the red color of kissmarks. When the blood starts decaying and being reabsorbed in the body we observe the change of color and find the characteristic kissmark. So the kissmark comes from superficial internal tissue bleeding, and the mark itself CANNOT BE REMOVED. You can only cover up for it by use of cosmetics. If the mark does not disappear after a few days a medical doctor should be visited - just in case. If you use rubbing alcohol it may help to disperse the blood better, and so it may help the healing along.
