You can remove the ABS and brake light, from your Oldsmobile Alero, by removing the dash cover. The light retaining nut must be removed. The light will come out.
shoot it with a gun and brake it with an axe and remove it by your hand
at the rear brakes. remove wheels, & brake drums, adjust rear brakes to specs, and the E-brake will automatically be adjusted.
Hand brake? I thought the last GMC with a hand brake was in 68, but I could be wrong.
you ask it to stop
If your handbrake is on or if the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW , the " brake " light in your dash will light up
ive put in brake fuild oil toped that up checked the battery level all ok still the battery light and hand brake light are still on...
Check the brake fluid level, as on many vehicles the "emergency brake" (in the UK, Hand-brake) warning light also acts as a warning light for low brake-fluid.
The hand brake warning light switch is typically located near the hand brake lever, either on the lever itself or mounted on the mechanism that engages the brake. When the hand brake is applied, the switch is activated, illuminating the warning light on the dashboard to alert the driver. In some vehicles, it may also be part of the brake system's overall warning system, ensuring that the driver is aware of the hand brake status. Always consult the vehicle’s manual for specific locations and details.
I have a 1800 vectra and the break light comes on when traveling then goes off, is this the brake shoes or pads wearing out.
The red " BRAKE " light in your dash comes on if the parking brake / emergency brake is on and also if the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL in the brake master cylinder located in your engine compartment is LOW
No , the rear brake lights do not turn on when you use your parking brake , just the brake light on your dash is supposed to come on
the light would be your emergency brake light meaning either your hand brake is on or that your abs has been disabled.
