How do you remove starch from cotton shirts?

it all depends on what type of paint it is, if it is gloss paint and it has dried up, the best solution is the Chinese way, use pure alcohol and black soil, leave it to soak for abouts 30mins and and wala! its gone!

This may sound crazy but i have had paint and ink on a cotton shirt b4 and was told to use

men's gel like deodorant (like a speed stick) on it (IT HAS TO BE MEN'S). its an old jail house remedy that works. rub it on the clothing and leave it until washing, or and wash out the stain then reapply the speed stick and do it again until its gone . this also works on your hands oR body if ink is stained on it, rub the men's deodorant it Will disappear. a guy shared that with me that was a tattoo artist in prison and of course they are not suppose to tattoo there so if any ink got on there body or clothing they used the gel men's speed stick to get it out.. .. good luck

Give the wet paint a good douse of aerosol hair spray until thoroughly dampened all around the paint spot. Let sit just long enough for the hairspray to sink into the fabric but do not let dry. Then add a little soap and water to spot and scrub, scrub, scrub.

Step 1

Soak the fabric in cold water for a few minutes to keep the paint wet and rinse out any paint that is loose.

Step 2

Treat the area with a stain-remover solution, and work the solution into the fabric. Then allow it to soak for a couple of hours. Wash the fabric in cold water using stain-fighting laundry detergent.

Step 3

Check to see if the paint has been removed before putting the fabric into the dryer. If the stain is no longer visible, then go ahead and dry the fabric. If the stain can still be seen, allow the fabric to air dry, and then try alternative methods.

Step 4

Saturate the dried paint stain with Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Allow the stain to soak in the alcohol for several minutes, and then rub it with a clean dry cloth of pick at the dried pain with your finger nail.

Step 5

Continue applying alcohol and rubbing or picking at the paint until it is completely removed. You can also use hairspray instead of rubbing Isopropyl alcohol, as long as the alcohol is one of the ingredients listed on the can.

put the cotton in a bucket of loop warm water then let it soak and and after after about ten to twenty minutes take it out and let it dry naturally
