Pull it out and there are 2 screws on each side. After you remove the 4 screws, the whole assembly pulls out. You will need to disconnect the lighter lead or just leave it connected and let it hang there. While he's right, there IS another way.....Do what I did - Pull too hard, and it'll come right out in your hand! Seriously - If you want to remove JUST the metal part, pull up on the little tab in the middle.....Kenny
