Buy a pool patch
There are several pool patch kits available at your local pool dealer...if the hole is not too big than this should work. It works under water.
There is a pool enclosure industry and it may be near you. there are many different businesses that do pool repair if it's in your local pool store or the place you actually bought your pool from may help or pay for a new one
A pool float patch is used to repair holes or tears in inflatable pool floats. The purpose of the patch is to seal the damaged area and prevent air from escaping, allowing the float to stay inflated and usable. To repair an inflatable pool float using a patch, you would clean and dry the damaged area, apply the patch following the instructions provided, and press firmly to ensure a secure seal.
Get it wet, look for bubbles. If it's on the outside of the pool where soap wouldn't get in, put a little dish-soapy water on the area (you don't want to get soap in your pool!!!!), and look for a LOT of bubbles.
Drain the water to below the level of the leak, and let it dry. Glue a patch over the hole, and let it dry according to the directions in the patch repair kit. Refill pool and enjoy swimming.
It sounds like the repair should work if done properly.
Tire sealant is a liquid substance that is inserted into a tire to repair punctures. It works by flowing into the puncture hole and forming a temporary seal, preventing air from escaping and allowing the tire to remain inflated.
You can't ... since the above ground pool is made of vinyl material, you need to apply a vinyl patch. Has to be a like material to be compatible.
I've done that with epoxy on a few occasions.
