1)Remove ignition wires( marking them so you know which order to replace them), 2)remove 4 Allen head screws, 3)disconnect all wiring plugs. Reverse directions for replacement.

There is no coil wire. There is a coil pack and connected to the coil pack is the ignition control module.
On the Ford Explorer that has the EDIS ignition system ( Electronic Distributorless Ignition System ) instead of a distributor it has a coil pack with 6 coil pack towers for the V6 engine
it is part of the coil pack regardless what size of motor so if that's your problem replace the coil pack. Try one from a junkyard its cheaper

the ignition module on a buick park avenue is under the coil pack which is on the front left side of motor. its where the plugs plug into coil pack. the ignition module is the part that is underneath the coil pack. You will need a star tool to remove the 6 star screws. in order to remove the whole thing their are 3 i belive 7mm nuts under neath the whole thing these also need to be removed. you then unplug the coil pack from the ignition module in order to replace it . be sure to get the wires hooked up in sequence or it may not start.
you mean a coil pack, the service manuals at autozon etc , have good descriptions in them on how to OHM out a coil pack.

If getting no spark, it could be your spark plug wire is bad or your coil pack. say 3 and 6 getting no sparks, that means your coil pack is bad and you need to replace. if you getting no sparks after replacing new coil pack, it could be your ignition module.
