unscrew the screws above the gauge cluster up and behing the steering wheel that connects the vents to the dash.....after gettin the screws out pull on that part and it should pop out eventually (might take some work)u have to disconnect the emergency flashers and rear defrost switches, then take that piece of your dash out (takes time getting it past the steering wheel, but it does come out). Now you will see your gauges and some other wires and crap, theres 4 screws holding the cluster compartment in there take those off and un-do all the wire clusters in the back (should be like 4 or 5 don't remember) now you have your cluster compartment out and u should be able to do the rest.....
Where is the fuse for the gauges in a 2004 nissan sentra?
The speedometer on a 1996 Nissan Altima is located on the instrument cluster, directly in front of the driver. It is typically positioned between the tachometer and other gauges, such as the fuel gauge and temperature gauge. The speedometer displays the vehicle's speed in miles per hour (MPH). To view it, simply look at the dashboard while seated in the driver's seat.
Start the thing...............
There is a grey 4 pin plug on top of the motor, close to the firewall, it controls the RPM, Speedometer, and Temperature gauges. Plug may become loose, causing no RPM needle movement.
it's manual
blower motor has a short. replace blower motor
you could but i wouldent
To replace the dash gauges, first disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Then, remove the dashboard cover by unscrewing any screws or clips holding it in place. Carefully pull out the gauge cluster, disconnect the wiring harness, and replace the old gauges with new ones. Finally, reconnect everything, secure the dashboard cover, and reconnect the battery to test the new gauges.
To change the gauges on a VTI the dashboard gauge bezel needs to be removed from the car. Once the bezel is off the gauges will be easily accessible. Replace the gauges.
I may be mistaken, but I don't think you can change the gauges. I think I recall seeing here, that you must replace the entire instrument cluster.
Check fuses under dashboard, driver side.
Do the interior lights work in the gear selector or the climate controls? If none of them work, suspect a fuse or something else. If it's just behind the gauges and all have gone out, then the board behind the gauges may be fried. But assuming none of those are the case, you'll need to remove the dash and the bulbs are located behind the gauges. Not a task for the timid.
