Here is the procedure to reset you factory GM alarm system on your 2004 Suburban, this assumes you do NOT have a professional Scan II tool.
30 Minute Learn Procedure
- Turn ON ignition, with the enngine OFF.

- Repeat steps 1 thru 4 two (2) more times for a total of three (3) cycles/30 minutes; the vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.
- Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password. IMPORTANT: The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Date Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
- History of any DTC will sefl clear after 100 ignition cycles if you do not have a scan tool that clears codes.
