Are we talking about a deadbolt? US or European?
You should be able to remove the lock from the inside. There will probably be a couple screws that hold it to the exterior part of the lock. Once you have that off, you will be able to twist the mechanism inside to pull the deadbolt back to open the door.
If you do not see any screws, some locks have an escutcheon ring around them that will need to be popped off first. The escutcheon will probably have a very small notch in it right next to the door to enable you to put a small flat blade screwdriver in it to pry with. Note that you are only trying to get this cover off of the lock....do not try to pry the whole lock off.
