It's been a few years since I did mine but I seem to remember having to take apart several sections of plastic molding (starting at the rear and working forward) to allow you to get access to the right fender well area. It's a combination of screws and plastic pop thingies. Once you take half of your truck apart you'll need to get the overpriced Ford replacement Woofer to ensure a no hassle fit. If you don't buy a replacement speaker from Ford you'll most likely have to do some serious cutting to get the back of the new speaker to fit (the cutting won't affect the outermost plastic grill area). It seems most non-Ford speakers are either deeper, have fatter coils or both and won't be a form fit replacement for the original speaker. It's not that hard just time consuming and don't lose any screws.
