A king size quilt cover would be better than a queen size quilt cover if you have a king size bed. The queen size quilt cover would be too small. If you have a queen size bed, a king size quilt cover may still be better as it will hang over the sides a bit and, therefore, be less likely to come off during the night.
I would try calling fabric stores located in Edmonton. Lots of times stores will have fabrics with themes of local interest.
Well, honey, a queen size quilt typically measures around 90 x 108 inches. So, if you're using 8 x 8 inch squares, you would need around 135 squares in total (90/8 = 11.25 and 108/8 = 13.5, so 11 x 13 = 143 squares, but you might need to adjust depending on your quilt design). Just remember, it's always better to have a few extra squares than to be short!

If Maggie were making a wholecloth quilt then the quilt would be 8m square, 2.8m along each side. Assuming that Maggie used a different fabric for the backing. If Maggie were making a quilt that was pieced then it would depend on the size of the pieces cut to form the blocks. Since each cut piece would use fabric to make the seam allowance. Unless we know the design this is truly impossible to answer This question falls into 'how long is a piece of string' category.
Quilts can be any size. There are 5 millimeter quilts and the names project quilt is about 300 meters. My wife has a quilt in this project. There are quilts for baby beds, single beds, etc. A typical quilt is probably between about 2.3 and 2.5 meters.
different fabrics need different amounts of heat. thinner fabrics tend to be more delicate, so a higher heat setting would damage them, wheras heavier fabrics need more heat to smooth wrinkles effectively. if you have an iron with steaming capabilities, settings can adjust whether or not (and how much) the steam is on.
It would depend on the external fabric type. Different fabrics take different methods and chemicals.
In English, there is no distinction between masculine, feminine and neuter. Noun and verb forms are neutral. Gender is shown by different forms or different words. The noun king is a male regent; the noun queen is a female regent.

Suffocating in a bed quilt is very unlikely and would be rather difficult to achieve. The cotton fabric and fluffy batting of any quilt hold plenty of air and would not obstruct breathing without a good deal of pressure applied from another source.
