To ensure that a newly pierced earlobe hole remains open, it's generally recommended to keep earrings in for at least 6 to 8 weeks. During this healing period, the earrings should remain in place to prevent the hole from closing. After this initial period, some people can switch to other earrings, but it's best to continue wearing earrings regularly to maintain the hole. For the best results, always follow aftercare instructions provided by your piercer.
