How much money does it cost on average to rent a table at art and craft shows?

The cost varies with the prominence of the show. A church parking lot fund raiser will generally cost between $25 - $50. A yearly community festival, or large school festival will be more like $100, and at a major fair event, such as a county fair, or state fair, the cost is in the $100's, and up. For many fairs, it also depends on the location, with booths inside near the doors being much higher than booths outside in the back. There are some "permanent" craft shows in shopping malls that rent out booth space by the month, usually around $100 to $200, depending on size, location, and amenities (electricity, signs, etc). As a registered Native American artist, I usually rent booths at pow wow's and tribal gatherings ranging from $20.00 to $500, again depending on the size and popularity of the show.

That really depends on what you are selling / profit margins / amount of sales Some people make a living.. some people make nothing, even a loss.

Craft fair's are exceptionally expensive in the UK you can pay anything up to £1,000 to run a stall for a weekend, the USA is no different.

The main idea with craft fairs is you make contacts for repeat sales as a lot of small stores visit them to buy unique items.

If you are thinking of running a stall, think carefully about what you want to sell and if it will appeal to a market.
