Illinois carpenters make around 16 dollars an hour. They may charge more if they are working in a large company.
Carpenters are more likely to make a lot of money if they have a variety of skills, as opposed to just one special skill set (so that they are qualified for more types of jobs). Carpenters will also make more money when they are more experienced. Most carpenters, however, do not make "a lot" of money--the average yearly salary for a carpenter is $37,000.
The pension amount for carpenters in Cleveland, Ohio can vary based on several factors, including years of service, specific pension plans, and contributions made over the worker's career. Generally, carpenters in union positions may have access to defined benefit pension plans, which provide a monthly benefit upon retirement.
