switch off and allow some time to cool before touching.
remove all covers, metal pans and grills from bain.
using tongs remove any item that may block drain if water is contaminated.
locate the drain hole on inside or the cap on outside if water is too dirty.
position a bucket or large container for waste water under drain hole.
open drain cap carefully, allow to drain fully (may take many minutes if large).
if bain is freestanding and not to large, tilt or raise slightly for a complete empty.
wipe with disposable towel any muck that is freely moveable
(old tea towels can be used instead of paper towel, but throw out after use on this task!)
use fine grade steel wool with a commercial cleanser to remove greasy deposits.
harsh scratching will not matter below the water line as it is generally unsseen.
using a small squeegee may help drain all water
replace with cold water and allow time to heat.
drain water agian to remove chemical residues.
fill to water level sevral cm above elements.
