Needs a new head gasket, and maybe heads and pistons.
No, you should never have to trim a head gasket. If the holes do not match up, you have the wrong gasket. No, you should never have to trim a head gasket. If the holes do not match up, you have the wrong gasket.
But a new gasket. Using the appropriate tools remove cylinder head and all attached items according to manufacturers instructions. Remove existing gasket and clean cylinder block and head. Fit new gasket according to instructions and reattach removed items.
sadly u cant get another head gasket for an aztek so you can either get anothers head gasket and try to fit it in(try a gm kind) or scrap the car.if you sell the car you can only get like $900 from it so there is no point
They only make 1 size head gasket. It don't matter if it is 10 20 30 40 or 60 over the factory head gasket will fit with no PROBLEM.
hi i had the same problem and after taking it to the garage they told me my head gasket was on its way out, hope this helps
The Intake gasket is leaking, NOT THE HEAD GASKET. Replace the intake gasket
To fit a head gasket on a 2001 MR2 Roadster, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds, and unbolt the cylinder head carefully, taking note of the order of bolts. Clean the surfaces thoroughly, then place the new head gasket on the engine block, aligning it correctly with the dowel pins. Finally, reattach the cylinder head, torque the head bolts to the specified settings in the correct sequence, and reassemble the rest of the components.
Just had to have mine done. Parts are only around
You do not repair a head gasket you replace it with a new gasket which requires removing the head.
