wool is a good non-conductor.Materials that insulate heat, eg wool, cotton etc, are also by definition good electrical insulators. Good conductors would include most metals, which you may have noticed are bad insulators. you wouldn't wear metal underwear anyway!

An insulator.

Is cotton wool a conductor of electricity or an insulator?

Cotton wool is not a conductor or an insulator it is a semi conductor. It is sort of in the middle, electrons can travel through cotton wool but not as good as silver, bronze, metal and so on.

Is steel wool conductive?

Yes, steel wool is conductive because it is made of steel, which is a good conductor of electricity. This means that electricity can flow through steel wool easily.

Is cloth a good conductor of electricity?

No cloth is not a conductor of electricity .It is an insulainsulator

Is carpet a conductor of electricity?

No, carpet is typically an insulator and does not conduct electricity. Its material composition, such as fibers like wool or polyester, creates resistance to the flow of electricity.

Is a Cotton wool a insulator or conductor?

Cotton wool is an insulator as it does not conduct electricity. It is widely used in applications where insulation is needed, such as in clothing, padding, and protective gear.

Is Iron a conductor or insulator of electricity?

Note: current is conducted, not "electricity". Electricity covers all things and phenomenon electrical. Iron is a conductor.

Is cork an conductor or an insulator?

Cork is an insulator. It has low thermal and electrical conductivity due to its cellular structure which traps air and reduces the transfer of heat or electricity.

Is a sweater a good electrical conductor?

No, a sweater is not a good electrical conductor. Sweaters are typically made of insulating materials like wool or cotton, which do not allow electricity to pass through easily. Conductors allow electricity to flow freely, while insulators like sweaters block the flow of electricity.

What is the relationship between a conductor of heat and a conductor of electricity?

In general a material is both a good conductor of electricity and heat if it has lots of free conduction band electrons, effectively forming an "electron gas". Metals are in this category. Ionic...A vaccum, cotton, dry wood, wool, polycarbonate and a number of other plastics.Potassium is a electricity conductor. gases do not conduct heat or electricity well. metals conduct both well. but argon is a conductor. In general a material is both a good conductor of electricity and heat if it has lots of free conduction band electrons, effectively forming an "electron gas". Is wool conductor of heat?

Wool holds lot of air. As air is a bad conductor of heat, this makes the wool a bad conductor of heat, but a good insulator.

Is human body a conductor or non conductor of electricity?

the human body is a conductor of electricity
