Every adult and teenager sharing a home should take some responsibility for the upkeep of that home; it's the civilized way to live. Sharing of responsibilities should be tempered with consideration for each persons' other responsibilities such as hours of outside work, job pressure (this includes working as primary caregiver to children) and so on.
