it depends if it is really facy or not also if you want i guess -tcp Also, do you have short nails now? If your nails are long, you may not need the acrylic. If, however, you have short nails you want to"beef up" think twice about getting acrylics for just one big event. They will cut your nails outrageously short, and then they'll buff them until there's hardly any of your nail left. After that they apply the nails. If they don't get the nail shaped right for your nail bed, they'll feel uncomfortable. Also, I had to have mine re-done every other week. That got expensive, and timely--trying to find an hour to just sit and get my nails done. If you've ever had acrylics before this time won't be such an adjustment. It can be tricky though getting use to have longer nails. One thing I hated was not being able to pick up something I dropped on the floor. And when you finally do have the acrylics removed, don't try to cut them off by yourself. You need the length for a little leverage. You'll know after they're off how thin your nails are because of the filing. Also, I thought it was just gross. You can't get things perfectly clean behind your nails. And there's always the risk of infection. I'm not selling a solution, nor am I some health nut. I'm just someone who had the manicure, kept my nails on for almost a year, and have some words of caution. Sure they look awesome. But with a little extra tweak, so can Lee Nails or other stick on nails. msmom
