Except for corduroy shorts, i say corduroy is too hot for July and August. In June, if the temperature is more than 70-72 degrees, it is not appropriate unless your are talking about fine wale corduroy. From May to September, corduroy is fine and great except for an exceptionally hot day. I never wear corduroy when it is more than 72 degrees. I wear corduroy the rest of the time. In Winter only, 8 wale corduroy. Autumn and Spring, medium or narrow wale corduroy only.
