The ladder stitch is done by normal single needle lockstitch machine with it rotary hook modify to hold the needle thread in a loop formation before releasing it out. In this you will have a uniform loose underthread from the needle and a straight bobbin thread without tension. After this done, you will sew with double needle on top after pulling both seam apart to form ladder stitch.
