Cons: No work, can't find work, no female coworkers, dirty, dangerous, dusty, sweaty, too hot, too cold, once a laborer-always a laborer, it's hard on the body.

More Pros: Carpentry is lots more than just building houses ... carpenters can also build furniture, bookshelves, outdoor patio furniture and patio decks. A carpenter can be as creative as they want. And yes, there are female carpenters - some very successful ones at that.

Prospects of carpentry would be business opportunities for carpenters. Carpentry Trade shows are good places to find new prospects. There are companies out there that have company profiles that aid in acquiring new business prospects and sales leads. I find that it is the most helpful.
