They are pliers with 2-3 rounded indents on the jaw that will crimp different sizes of bead or electrical connector.
im guessing you mean to prevent them from falling apart. to do this, i usally use crimp tubes. I prefer crimp tubes over crimp beads but that's just my personal preference. If your using memory wire, a memory wire ball will work or just make a mini spiral on the end. Making a spiral on the end of any wire will stop the beads from falling off but this is not a good idea if you want something like a clasp. its easiest to just use crimp tubes or crimp beads for most wires. i like to use two crimp tubes on each end of my wire (for jewelery with clasps. before the clasp) this ensures that if one crimp tube breaks somehow, there is another to hold it together until you can fix it.
The word pliers has two syllables. (pli-ers)

Long nose pliers. These are very handy pliers to have in your toolbox. I have several, of differing lengths and shape. Some of mine have angled jaws, some others have extra long jaws. I used two different ones on a job today.

Beads have been used in Native American tribal cultures for both decorative and symbolic purposes. One way beads have been used is in the creation of traditional jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, which served as both personal adornment and a reflection of tribal identity. Another way beads have been used is in ceremonial and spiritual practices, where they are often incorporated into clothing, regalia, and sacred objects, representing spiritual power and connection to the natural world.

The singular form is pliers, a shortened form for a 'pairof pliers'. The plural form is 'pairs of pliers'.The word pliers is one of a group of nouns that are a shortened form for a 'pair of'. They are words for things that have two halves to make the single unit. Others are pants, shorts, glasses, binoculars, tweezers, scissors, etc.
Good question! To call them a pair is incorrect - more properly, it should be called a set of rosary beads since there are more than two beads.
