Pieces of Bread
Erasers can erase lead. Although, rubber can erase lead, too; erasers are made of rubber. You can use a rubber ball to erase writing from a pencil.
they used rat fur
the point, I think, is either the amount of different substances in the graphite/lead, or even the type of eraser...
Pencils are not pencils or plants. They are, however, made of plants. The wood that is made from them is a plant because it comes from trees. Pencils are also made of minerals. Early pencil tips were made of lead. Because lead is toxic, they changed the tips to graphite. The metal thingy that holds the eraser to the pencil, well that is some sort of mineral. The eraser is made of rubber (I don't know where rubber comes from). And the outer layer is paint.

pencils such as lead pencils
The lead in pencils are not made out of lead, as is common belief. Pencil lead is made out of graphite.
Lead was never actually used in pencils. The "lead" in pencils is actually a mix of graphite and clay. The switch to using graphite in pencils occurred in the 16th century.
pencils contain lead. lead is dangerous for humans. many students put pencils in there mouth and can lead to lead poisoning. This can bring lawsuits against companies for negligence as the companies know the pencils contain lead which is toxic.
Lead is mainly used for pencils and for batteries.Hope this helped :)

Pencils can benefit us in lots of different ways. Without pencils students wouldn't be able to do their schoolwork, and people at work would have to use pens all the time, which could lead to a lot of mistakes because you can't erase with a pen. Pencils come in handy when you need to erase something you wrote; if people used pens all the time they would continually have to cross out their writing errors, and that might make your paper look messy.
