how do you replace the fuel sending unit
The fuel sending unit on a 1995 Mercedes E320 is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you typically need to remove the rear seat and the access panel or, in some cases, drop the fuel tank entirely. The sending unit is attached to the fuel pump assembly, which monitors the fuel level and sends the information to the fuel gauge on the dashboard.

To locate the fuel gauge sending unit on a 1995 Mercedes-Benz S320, first, ensure the vehicle is safely elevated and secured. The sending unit is typically located in the fuel tank, accessible by removing the rear seat cushion or the access panel in the trunk. Once you find the access point, you can remove the retaining ring or screws to lift out the sending unit for inspection or replacement. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
