Ironwood (Ipe - pronounced "ee-pay") is harder by almost 2x than Hickory.

According to the Janka test, Teak scores 1000, Hickory scores 1820, Ipe scores 3680.

Ipe is also much denser than many other woods, in lbs/ft3, Ipe is around 66 pounds, compared with Oak's 43, and Teak's 40.
