The "timing shear pin" is in the shaft that holds the fly wheel. Hope this helps.
Remove the blade, spray some penetrating oil on the end of the adapter closest to the engine and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then gently tap it off. It just slides on the end of the crank, they just get stuck from rust and lawn clippings
