It does seem a little counterintuitive that adding more marker would help to get rid of the marks, but this trick really works! Dry erase markers have a unique makeup of chemicals so that they can be easily erased from surfaces that won’t absorb them, like a dry erase board (they are, of course, not so erasable when you get them on your clothes—no, I’m not bitter). Some of those chemicals are alcohols, which act as solvents and dissolve the permanent marker, making it erasable.
Also, as I learned this week, it also works on five-year-old dry erase marker! Who knew.
I don't know if this will work on piano keys, but dry erase markers erase permanent marker on white boards. Write over the mark, then erase the dry erase. If the dry erase doesn't come off the piano keys easily, use alcohol.
It doesn't. Permanent marker doesn't dissolve in water. Help me with my chemistry question :/
When trying to get a dry erase marker off a dry erase board the best thing to use is glass cleaner. I use it all the time when cleaning mine. Its the same as taking the marker off the overhead projector.
Hairspray can help remove permanent marker from clothes because it contains alcohol, which can break down the marker's pigments and help lift them from the fabric. The alcohol in hairspray acts as a solvent, dissolving the marker ink and making it easier to blot or wash away from the fabric.
To revive a dry erase marker, try dipping the tip in rubbing alcohol or whiteboard cleaner to dissolve any dried ink. You can also store the marker upside down with the cap on to help the ink flow towards the tip. If these methods don't work, it may be time to replace the marker.

To erase Sharpie from a whiteboard, you can use rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer. Apply a small amount to a cloth or paper towel and gently rub the stained area until the ink begins to lift. For stubborn stains, you can also use a dry-erase marker to color over the Sharpie, then wipe it away, as the solvents in the dry-erase marker can help dissolve the Sharpie ink.
Shaking a permanent marker can help to mix the ink inside the marker and ensure a consistent flow when using it. However, excessive shaking can cause the ink to leak or the marker tip to become damaged. It's best to shake a permanent marker gently to avoid these issues.
It may be possible to remove most of the trace of permanent marker by tracing over the mark on the doll with a dry-erase marker. The dry erase marker will help erase the permanent marker. The same can be used on dry erase boards that have been marked on with permanent marker.
I fined that if you get some alcohol hand jell (the normal one works best not a perfumed or moisturising one) and apply where the permanent marker is and give it a scrub and then wipe it away with a cloth.
Get some nail varnish remover on a cloth and start rubbing then keep repeating this step till all the mark is gone then get a wet cloth and remove the excess. Rub marks left from the nail varnish remover and now the permanent marker should be gone 0v0 \__/
The effects of inhaling fumes from a permanent marker can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on factors such as how much was inhaled and individual tolerance levels. It's important to seek medical help if experiencing severe symptoms or prolonged effects.
