More than likely the lights involved are controlled by a relay. The steering column or dash switch that you turn on would energize the relay which would close it's (heavier duty) contacts to provide power to the lights. This is more reliable than having all the current (required for the lights) going thru a switch, which is usually are not capable of reliably handling high currents.
Check the wiring diagram, or get a manual from the dealer or Haynes to get a diagram. It could be that relay.
what;s the likely problem expected on a 4runner engine of 310000 km milleage?
I have no dash lights or gage lights that come on in my 1982 corvette, what could be the problem ? i checked all fuses.
It is telling you that there is a problem with the airbag system. It is not likely to suddenly inflate but it probably will not work in a crash. Also if the problem is in the module it may keep the other air bags from deploying as well. Need to have it checked out at your dealer.
If the fuses are okay, then you need to have a mechanic run a scan on the instrument cluster. This is most likely where the problem is and it takes specialized tools to diagnose the problem.
Indicates a braking system malfunction! Problem with the master cylinder - or - the ABS pump is not operating. Have it checked out right away.
Problem with emission control system have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
What problem?
If the brakes on a 2003 Toyota 4Runner are locking up there is a problem with the calipers. The units should be inspected for wear, to avoid any serious injury.
Because the ECU has detected a problem with the emissions system.
I have an 87 4runner and i had a similar problem turns out that the starter relay sends power to the fuel pump you might want to try replacing that relay
Indicates a problem with the electrical system. Normally the problem is that the alternator has failed.
