Yes you can but you should not. If the OEM size is 195/65-15 and you want a wider tire then install 205/60-15. This will keep the overall diameter nearly the same. Installing 195/60-15 will cause the diameter to be smaller and will cause your speedometer to be off, and will effect handling, performance, and mileage adversely.

Yes it will fit on the rim since they are 15 inch, they will fit the cavalier if it has had the 195/65R15, the 205/65R15 is a little wider than the 195/65R15. Keep in mind that the cavalier also had multiple different sizes, 195/70R14, 195/65R15 and the Z24 had the 205/55R16 applies to 1995 to 2005 cavalier models,you can also change the whole wheel assemblies even if different size as long as its from the cavalier or sunfire models, but do change all four for best results. If your cavalier has the 15 inch rims it will fit, just make sure that the tire has enough clearance to ensure that they wont rub on the inner body areas such as parts of the wheel well, putting the 205/65R15 should be ok, since the cavalier does have a pretty deep wheel well and that the Z24 has the 205 tires. I have a 2002 Nissan altima with tires 205/65R16 can I replace them with 215/65R15, the tires came on 5 bolt rims and will fit on the altima. If the tires are on 15 inch rims, you are ok. You can not put 15 inch tires on 16 inch rims, or 16 inch tires on 15 inch rims.
