Although 10W40 can be used, most auto manufacturers recommend 10W30 or 5W30. Check your owners' manual or on the dip stick for correct oil type recommended for your vehicle.
No that is just an urban myth.
The majority of 4 cylinders use a good 10W 40 Motor oil. No It Will Do Just Fine With 10W40
10w40 will do just fine.
Just check with your dealer. 10w40 goes well with me.
10w40 will do just fine. I use Motul.
I just called a Honda ATV dealer and asked him what oil to use in a 1982 ATC 110 he says 10w40. He says 10w40 was standard back in the 70,80's.
I have the 1982 Kz750 LTD. I am just using Castrol 10w40 car oil. It must be 10w40 or more, 10w30 and lower viscosity oil has an additive in it the will mess up the clutch. So 10w40 is what i would suggest. But you can buy expensive motorcycle oil, but it is pretty much the same.
It's your switchbox, I just did this on my 75hp 4cylinder.
Any high quality name brand multiviscosity oil will be perfectly fine for your engine. One in either 10W30 or 10W40 will be ok. Just change the oil every 3000 miles or sooner.
20w40 shell oil in summer and a 10w40 shell oil for winters is just fine
Depends where you put it.. but if you put correct amount in the engine, it'll work just fine.
10w40 made for wet-clutch engines will work just fine
