Hi,,, the car will run,, but not with the perfect mix of gas and air,, it results in a poor mix and you will expend more in gas,, its not a big deal, i mean,, you are not going to expend twice on gas,, but if you have both sensors working, its better for you :) Jesus S.
There is 2 oxygen sensors on the 2002 Nissen altima
where is the oxygen sensor in a 1998 Nissan altima 2.4gxe
it might be behind the catalatic converter. if not there than it might be with the other one
wich one it has two one on the manifold and the other one on the exhaust pipe
wich one it has two one on the manifold and the other one on the exhaust pipe
Just one and its located right in the middle of the front of the motor.
it has two one in front of engine another one underneat in the muffler pipe
This particular model has two oxygen sensors . The first is on the intake manifold facing the radiator and the other is under the vehicle on the exhaust pipe .
1 is on the intake manifold and the 02 sensor is right befor your cataylic converter
there are two one on the intake manifold (facing radiator) and the other one on the exhaust pipe underneath the car
To replace the oxygen sensor in a 2000 Nissan Altima, first locate the sensor, which is typically found on the exhaust pipe or manifold. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then unplug the old oxygen sensor's electrical connector. Use a wrench or oxygen sensor socket to unscrew the old sensor, then screw in the new sensor and reconnect the electrical plug. Finally, reconnect the battery terminal and start the engine to ensure proper operation.
A 4-cylinder Nissan Altima typically has two oxygen sensors: one upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and one downstream (post-catalytic converter). The upstream sensor monitors the air-fuel mixture before it enters the catalytic converter, while the downstream sensor checks the efficiency of the catalytic converter. However, it's always best to consult the specific model year and engine type for confirmation, as configurations can vary.
