It actually in a funny way has both.. The main one to keep in mind is the timing belt, but it also has a chain that connects one cam to the other.. this chain needs very little to almost no replace ever. while the belt must be replaced every 60,000.. keep in mind that this engine has interfernce valves. So dont forget to change it or you will ruin your engine.
