The P0443 code indicates a malfunction in the evaporative emission control system purge control valve circuit. This valve is responsible for controlling the flow of fuel vapors from the charcoal canister to the engine intake manifold. To diagnose and repair this issue, you will need to inspect the wiring and connections related to the purge control valve, test the valve itself for proper operation, and potentially replace the valve if it is faulty. It is recommended to consult a professional mechanic or refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific troubleshooting steps.

underneath the rear of the vehicle near the spare tire if i remember right. it is on the side of a black box (evap canister) it is the "vent control valve". it could be other things than just the valve itself setting this code.
drop the spare tire, under neath the spare tire the canister is right there, undo 3 12mm bolts and the canister will come down, then theres 2 10mm that hold the vent control valve in there undo the vapor lines and the vent valve connector and reinstall new one

Evaporative Canister Purge Volume Control Valve
The canister vent valve is located near the fuel tank. The canister purge valve is located on the engine.
It is probably not the fuel canister itself that is leaking.......on the back side of the canister ther is a small plastic drain valve.....this valve has an O-ring in it that dries up and fails causing the leak. the drain valve has a yellow valve control on it. It is a very cheap part and easy to fix.............Nick
The purge control valve is located behind the rear wheel that is on the same side as the gas tank. By simplysliding under the bumper one can view the canister and the valve.
where is the canister purge valve located on a 03 chevy venture
