bend valve,burned valve,ring,or a crack
Have you checked the spark plug wire for that cylinder,??????????
NO. It may get you home, if you drive carefully and slowly, but you would need to get it checked out, may be fairly pricey
The easiest answer is when it fails a compression test. Buy a compression tester (farily cheap), and test each cylinder. If one single cylinder is below 120 psi, or if one cylinder reads 15% less pressure than the cylinder with the highest pressure, your engine should be torn down and checked. The problem might only be in the heads, but it's still time for some serious work.
you go to the dealer and get it checked out. they have to do it for you.
have you checked to see if the timing belt or chain is broken? have you checked cylinder compression? is the oil up to proper level?
Go somewhere and have your timing checked.
You need to start with the three basics fuel spark compression if you have all three it will run in the case of spark it could show spark when ur testing it but under cylinder compression it could be weak fuel is easy take carbs off spray fuel in intakes and crank if carb or fuel is an issue then it will start compression is easily checked take plugs out and crank with hand close to plug hole if air pushes past u have some sort of compression the best way is to use a compression tester or cylinder leak down Gage to pinpoint the loss of comression
Did you only check one cylinder? If you only checked one, you may have just by chance picked a cylinder that was misfiring. The most likely reason to have unburned fuel is if that cylinder isn't burning. Check ignition and compression that cylinder. But I would check the other cylinders first. A misfire may also explain your engine's poor performance. I checked the compress in the cylinders 125-130 psi is that good?
Bad cylinder? Do a compression test. perhaps lack of compression in one cylinder due to a bad valve or piston. Does the check engine light come on? If so, have the codes read, they may lead you to the cause.
Have your motor mounts and transmission mount checked.
You may not have tightened it last time you checked the oil. Or your rings maybe getting bad and creating blow by taking a compression test that should tell you what is up.
#1 cyl checked with falt metter
