The first thing I do before replacing head gasket is have a machine shop check and resurface head if needed. Cost +-$100 Usually gasket goes bad do to warped head. Make sure you tighten them in order by drawing a rectangle, label one end "FRONT" number one side from front 8 4 1 5 9 then # other side from front 7 3 2 6 10. tighten 1-10 this will start you in middle. First tighten them to 59 ft-lb, second tighten them to 64 ft-lb, third 64 ft lb again.
