Are Oldsmobile Acheiva car horns run off the battery the horn keeps going off and can be silenced by touching the steering wheel?

You may have a problem with the horn pad grounding or the horn wire grounding. Be careful though, if you have an air bag you will need to follow proper procedues so that the air bag is not grounded and fired.

How do you fix a 1999 Isuzu rodeo horn that stays on?

Temporarily remove the fuse ... most likely the same for the cigar lighter. The main contact for the horn is in the steering wheel ... it may be shorted out there or anywhere between that point and the physical horn itself. You will need an ohmeter to check the wiring. Where can I get a replacement for the main contact?

How do you fix the horn on a 1998 Plymouth Breeze when it blows and will not stop?

The horn is either damage or the ground wire going to the horn is grounding out on metal or another ground wire. Trace the ground wire. The horn contacks within your horn pad might be grounding out also.

Where is the horn relay on a 98 Isuzu Rodeo?

There are possibly two relays. One might be in the relay box under the hood, behind the battery. I know there is also one inside what is called the Alarm and Relay Control Module.

What color is the horn wire on a 1992 Rodeo?

How do you shut off a jammed horn on a 2000 Isuzu?

Possible causes are a fulty horn relay, faulty horn switch (probably part of the steering wheel SRS module), or a short circuit between the horn relay & horn switch. Quickest temporary fix is to remove the horn relay, but as a horn is part of the required safety equipment on automobiles you need to find the source of the problem & fix it asap.

How do you fix a horn on the Saturn L100?

That depends entirely on what's wrong with the horn. It could be a problem with the horn relay, in which case you simply replace the relay. (Under the hood, in the fuse/relay box next to the battery) It could be a problem with the horn itself, in which case you simply replace the horn. It could be a problem with the horn switch, which is a part of the steering wheel. If that's the case you'll need to replace the steering wheel or horn switch. It could be a problem with the horn wiring, in which case you'll need to track down the specific problem and repair it. Good luck.

Could a fuse be the problem for my chrysler's horn to continually blow?

No, it is not a problem with a fuse. May be a bad relay, or horn switch.

The horn on my '98 Isuzu starts blowing spontainiously twice now.once at 1030pm once 400 am. engine off not the alarm just starts by itself. any hints pulled the fuse. could it be the relay?

I just had this same problem with my '98 Rodeo. The horn went off in the afternoon and again in the middle of the night (neighbors loved that). I took it to my local repair shop I always go to and they found it was a malfunction with the airbag. They have to get this from a junkyard (which has turned out to be quite a challenge), but in the meantime, I pulled the fuse as they told me it would keep happening unless the airbag was replaced.
