  • Several problems can affect the Sienna power slider. At www.tundrasolutions.com, there is a discussion of the problem. Mine has a messed-up pair of cables, one for opening and one for closing the door. Problem is, Toyota only sells the entire assembly, for over $1100. I am researching a solution with people that fabricate this sort of cable for aircraft; if I'm successful, I'll post the results at the above website.

I converted my door to a manual one...cost=0....just cut the cables at both ends. remove inner door lining to get to motor inside door. cut wire connection to motor. That's it...it then functions as a manual door

For 2004 to 2010 Toyota Sienna Sliding door problems, the easiest fix is as aforementioned to cut the cables.

You need to be sure that you stop trying to use the the regulators if you ever plan on getting it fixed. There is a switch by the driver's knees that will disable the motors on the regulators.

If your cables are broken, send them to www.bensonsautola.wordpress.com. I got mine fixed there for only $350. I had them installed by a local body shop that only charged me $100 in labor. I just thank God I didn't pay $1897 that my Toyota dealer asked me for.
