Simple check is to ground the fuel sending wire at the fuel tank.If the gauge reads FULL then it is a bad fuel sending unit and you need to drop the fuel tank to replace it.If the gauge reads empty when you ground the wiring then it means you have a bad fuel gauge.I would lean strongly towards the sending unit be bad my 87 the gauge started reading about 1/4 tank less before it failed.
How do you replace fuel pump 92 Mazda pick up B2200?
By A Chevy
92 b2200 ,fuel injection psi should be 38 to 46 psi
yeah
If it is a factory fuel injected the fuel pump is in the gas tank, if it is a factory carburated the machanical fuel pump is at passenger side rear of the engine head.

I have a 92 b2200 with 325k miles. Ibought it brand new.
A corroded ground connection on the wires for the fuel tank harness can cause the gas gauge on a 1992 GEO to not work properly. The wires are located under the back seat inside the vehicle.
Check the sending unit between the left first 2 spark plugs. Ground the wire with key on (gauge should peg full hot). If it does change the sending unit.
most failures lead to the fuel sending unit inside fuel tank.and yes the tank must come out
no problem, you may have to change the motor mounts but its the same transmission...
The B2200 does not have "scan tool" capability. It does have a diagnositics port that can be used to throw out codes using the MIL light in the dash. There are about a dozen codes that at best tell you the obvious. There is lots of help on mazdatruckin.com that can help you diagnose your truck.
