To install a 4-wheel drive selector in a 2008 Toyota Hilux, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Remove any cover panels to access the 4WD selector area, disconnect the battery, and then carefully detach the existing selector switch by unscrewing it from the dashboard. Install the new selector by connecting it to the wiring harness, securing it in place, and replacing any panels removed. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the selector to ensure it operates correctly.
