To adjust your headlights on 2005 Ford Taurus, first open the hood of your car and turn the lights on, find the headlight adjusters beneath the hood, and turn it counterclockwise to raise the beam or the other way to lower the headlight beam.
There will either be a couple of knobs, (one for left/right and one for n/s) which can be manually twisted, or you may need a screwdriver. Same rules apply, just have the cars beam mapped (masking tape?) on the garage door or a wall before you start.

To replace the low beam headlight on a 2006 Subaru Legacy, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Remove the plastic cover or dust cap at the back of the headlight, then disconnect the power connector from the bulb. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to release the old bulb, then insert the new bulb and twist it clockwise to secure it. Reconnect the power connector and replace the cover before closing the hood.

The screw is used to adjust the headlight beam. Pull towards a wall, and you can see the beam projection to set the headlights evenly.
The high beam is fixed and not independantly adjustable. The low beam and fog lamps are the only adjustable lamps.
