to REPLACE a Headlight Assembly for a 1996 CAMRY, follow these directions:
- open hood
- remove 2 (10mm) bolts that attach the center grille trim to the headlight assemblies.
- remove the (phillips) screw that attaches the "corner light" to each headlight assembly
- gently pry the corner light off by inserting a thin plastic blade between the corner light and the headlight assembly where they meet at the FRONT of the vehicle -- PRY TOWARDS THE SIDE of the vehicle, once the screw was removed (#3 above) it is just a "snap fit" that holds the corner light in place.
- disconnect the headlight electrical connections (2 each) on each headlight assembly
- remove the 10mm nut that was covered by the corner light
- remove the remaining 10mm bolts holding the headlight assembly in place
- remove the headlight assembly - VOILA!
- RE-ASSEMBLE in reverse order. 15 minutes for each side (includes drinking a beer to celebrate).
