go under the car ck just below the engine follow the exaust , there is the O@2 sensor connected into the exaust ,unplug it and use a 15/16 box wrench to take it off ,sometimes you have to heat it up with a torch but very carful not to start a fire with it , just heat up the whole are wher it mounts into the pipe since you are changing it anyhow you do not have to worry about ruining it , unbolt it and wala , put the new on in .do not drop it or bang it around , tighten it not to tight snug , and plug it back in and you are done , cost about $55 bucks at pep boys , they are all pretty much standard , the only thisn that is differant is the plug end .

To change the oxygen sensors on a 2001 Toyota Corolla S, first, ensure the vehicle is off and cool. Locate the oxygen sensors; there are typically two, one before the catalytic converter (upstream) and one after (downstream). Disconnect the electrical connectors and use a wrench or oxygen sensor socket to unscrew the old sensors. Install the new sensors by reversing the process, ensuring they are securely tightened and properly connected.

Locate the upper oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold, then unplug the electrical connector. Use an oxygen sensor socket or a wrench to carefully unscrew and remove the sensor from its mounting location.
